28. 2010 Leopard gecko hatchlings bred in Suffolk UK now available

The minimum weight we sell our leopard geckos at is 20 gram. We insist on this weight to be confident that our animals are healthy, well established and are likey to thrive to adulthood in their new homes. This weight also increases the accuracy for correct sexing.
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that we now have a small selection of leopard geckos born in 2010 which are at or near to 20 gram and which are now up for sale. Included in our first release for 2010 are Tremper albinos, patternless, hypos and normals. Most of these Leopard geckos are female and prices are from £15, for standard normals to £30 for the more exotic morphs. Contact details can be found on our website at

26. Leopard Gecko wild caught baby 21/05/2010

This is the sixth offspring this season from our wild caught bloodline Leopard gecko breeding pair of Mohammad and Benazir. Hatch date was 21st May 2010 after an icubatin period of 55 days. Birth weight was 3 gram. We are finding that are wild caught Leopard gecko babies are excellent feeders and this one should be up to our 20gram minimum sale weight in 8 to 10 weeks.
Our current stock list of Leopard geckos that are available to purchase can be viewed at http://lowestoftleopardgeckos.co.uk/

25. Baby Tremper 18/05/2010

This is the third baby from Diva a standard Tremper who we bred ourselves and red Red a red eyed Tremper eclipse who came to us from the Ark (Litchfield). Again with a long incubation of 58 days we are quite confident this baby will be female. She barged out of her egg on 28/05/2010. Her weight was 2g so she will take quite a few weeks to get established and become a bit chunkier

24. We got a stunning reverse stripe Tremper

This little stunner popped out of its egg today and is our first reverse stripe tremper of the 2010 season. Incubation day was 56 and she weighed in at 4 gram. she has got a great pedigree behind her. The Dam is a Jungle Tremper red eyed eclipse (Bred by Steve Sykes, Herpetoculture USA) and the sire is a reverse stripe Tremper (bred by what was homegrown geckos, Tonbridge)

23. African fat tail eggs at last

After what seems an incredibly long wait our patience paid off last friday (15/05/2010) when we found our female African fat tail gecko had produced a couple of eggs. They are well and truly tucked awy in the icubator and lets hope they hatch out in approxiamately 50 days.

22. Baby leopard geckos het for Tremper and Bell

The babies above are out of the same parents. The male is a reverse stripe Tremper and the mother is a Bell albino. the top one was born on 9th may 2010 0n incubation day 57 and she weighed 4 gram. the sibling came out of the egg two days later after an incubation period of 59 days which is the longest time we have experienced for an incubation she weighed in at 4 gram.

21. Our first of Mays

These our the first babys that hatched out in May 2010. All hatched on 2nd May. The top baby was another product of our wild caught bloodline couple Mohammad and Benazir. She hatched out on incubation day 49 and weighed 3 gram. The lower two babies are from a patternless female bought from Ray Hine (Essex) and a Tremper full red eyed eclipse which we got from the Ark reptiles (Lichfield). Incubation day was 52 for these two and both weighed 4 grams coming out of very big eggs

20. Final hatches for April 2010

These two babies broke out of their eggs on the 29th April and were our final babies for the month of April 2010. The top baby is our 4th wild caught bloodline normal of the season from the prolific combination of Benazir and Mohammad. Hatch weight was a whopping 4 grams on incubation day 46. The lower one is the prodigy of our Diablo Blanco couple Nero and Hazel. We were very surprised that we got a baby out of the egg as it was in very poor condition. As to the incubation day we are not 100% sure as we omitted the egg from our records. All we can say is that it is between 47-54 days. This baby is without doubt the smallest we have hatched which showed an unconvincing 2 gram on the scales. As such we are a bit worried as to her viability, so our fingers are well and truly crossed.

17. Wild caught bloodline leopard Gecko baby progress update

Incredible to say the least but at our weekly weigh in on Saturday (17/04/2010), and at just 3 weeks old this baby was up to 11 grams. I say incredible because most Leopard Gecko babies take 2 to 3 weeks to begin gaining weight. Her sibling from the same clutch was 9 grams on Saturday.
Looks like we might be looking for a new home for this baby in a few weeks. Our collection and available leopard geckos can be seen on

16.Latest wild caught bloodline Leopard Gecko baby

on sunday morning (18/04/2010) we found that this little corker had popped out of its egg to greet us. She weighed in at a whopping 3 gram and her hatch was on incubation day 51. With the incubator set at rock bottom 27 celcius and the length of incubation being 51 days we are pretty confident of her being female. The parents are the same as our other Leopard gecko wild caught bloodline babies, Mohammad and Benazir. The latter is a very prolific egg producer and we are expecting more babies from this duo soon.

14. Latest leopard gecko hatchling

This cutey burst out of her egg last night on incubation day 53. Being such a long incubation and as the Herp two incubator was at 27 degrees celcius from start to finish we are pretty confident as to her definitely being a female. The sire was Pharoah, a Tremper albino and the Dam Befi who is a Bell albino. Her hatch weight was 4 gram. Fingers are crossed that her sister from the same clutch emerges quickly.

13. April Leopard gecko hatchlings

Here we have two more babies from Marge and Mo. One hatched out 01/04/2010 incubation day 46 and the second came on 04/04/2010. The second was shorter and tubbier than the first, in fact a bit barrel shaped. Hatch weight was 3 gram for both.

Also worth mentioning that our wild caught bloodline normals are eating like pigs and have gained weight in their first week of life with both registering 5 grams at yesterdays weekly weigh in and up from their 3 gram hatch weight. Remarkable really as many Leopard Gecko babies don't pile on the grams until two or three weeks of age.

9. 2010 Breeding season update 1

Three weeks and one day gone into the incubation of our first eggs from the 2010 breeding season. yippe Marge has dropped us another two eggs this morning. We had another in the past week. Two from Patricia a female we got from Ray Hine. They were her first ever eggs and sadly they collapsed. We think that may be because often the first eggs a leo produces are sometimes infertile. Or alternatively we did not collect them quick enough whereby they were cold or damaged. The other two eggs produced this week are the prodigy of Benazir and Mohammad. These two bewts are both wild caught preserved bloodline stock and are uncontaminated by albino or other selective breeding genes.
So, as of now we currently have six good eggs in the incubator and more expected next week.

8. 2010 breeding season has begun

for sure we are up and running as from friday morning 22/01/2010 when we found two good eggs in Marge's, our senior hypo, living quarters. Looks like her recent liaison with Mo who looks like a bit of a mongrel from a normal x mack snow has paid dividends. In fact Mo has some quite interesting clours and patterns i.e. small black spotting and a lot of what i would call a limey/green background. Beyond this we haven't got a clue what these leos are het for. Hence all the more exciting to see what we get if we get a successful incubation. Anyways the eggs are in our Herp nursery 2 with the temperature setting at 28 degrees Celsius for females. So hers hoping for two hatchlings with estimated time of hatch being between 7th - 14th march 2010. Best not to count your leos until hatch so lets keep our fingers crossed.

4. EHS Norwich Show 29th November 2009

All in all a good day out at the show and a big round of applause must go to the EHS club organisers who made sure the show went on after being disgracefully let down by the Hewett high school. They informed the EHS on the 26/11/2009 that they would not honour the contract to hire out their premises. Yeas at three days notice. Officially they claimed that they were unable to carry out a risk assessment ahead of the show. This being the case despite the fact that they premises were booked a month before the show was due to take place. Fortunately the with the help of the British legion the club were able to hold the show at their premises on Alysham road. Hence a big thank you to the British legion for coming to the rescue at a little over 48 hours notuice.
