This neat little babe hatched out yesterday afternoon 30/05/2001.
Twas a 60 day incubation with hatch weight at 3 gram. Sire is Mohammad a normal with preserved wild caught bloodline genes and Dam is Lynn a classic normal type. So unless we have mixed up our eggs looks like this baby will develop into a classic normal. must say it has an interesting pattern to its dark bands which are dark black. Shame we won't have a sibling from this clutch as the othe egg collapsed.

130. There is still hope in the midst of sinking eggs.
Yes it has been a bit disappointing in terms of the number of eggs we have had that have reached full term. At the moment we are getting a low 33.3 % success rate due to lots of manky eggs. Even so we keep getting the odd ray of sunshine along the way including this baby that hatched out within the last couple of hours (27/05/2011). Fingers crossed the sibling egg pops tonight. Vital statics on this baby are an incubation period of 59 days and hatch weight of 3 gram. Dam is Lulu and sire is Isuzu. The dark bandings is brownish so looks like a hypo.

129. Another Ron Tremper baby
Must say our Tremper albinos are pretty reliable in providing us with offspring. Here is another to go with the 6 or 7 we have already hatched out this season. This baby hatched 21/05/2011 after a 57 day incubation and weighed in at 3 gram. Ma is Diva and red eyed Tremper eclpise and Pa is Nero a Diablo Blanco. So all in all some nice het genes. The upper band on the neck is a bit unbroken so expect this baby to lose its banding as it grows.

128. And now for something completely different.
This is our first Tremper APTOR of the 2011 season, or maybe even a RAPTOR, we just need to get a good look at the eyes. Just hatched out today 20/05/2011. It is the sibling of the baby in post 127. Only biographical difference is a 56 day incubation and a hatch weight of 3 gram.

127. The Trempers just keep on coming
This baby arrived this afternoon (19/05/2011)after a 55 day incubation period.Quite small and just makes 2 gram on the scales. Dam is Scarlett a RAPTOR and the Sire is Nero a Diablo Blanco, so he or she is carrying some great het genes.

126. Tremper ahoy!
Literally just found this baby hatched out this afternoon 17/05/2011. This is our fourth Tremper of the 2011 season so far. Incubation period for this baby was 55 days and hatch weight was 3 gram. Parents are both leos bred by ourselves and their first offspring. Mum is Lisa a blizzard and the Dad is Juno a red eyed Tremper eclipse.

125. Hi my name is keyhole and i am a 2 gram monster.
That's because I have the shape of a keyhole on my back. I hatched out 15/05/2011 and about 5 hours after my sibling in post 124. So I have the same vital boigraphic details as my sibling. Well apart from being 2 gram compared to their 3 gram
124. Just one big push and I'm out
This baby was caught making a break for it this morning (15/05/2011). She had an incubation period of 57 days. Not got the hatch weight at the moment as we have only just got up. Parents are our ever reliable Marge (hypo) and Isuzu.

123. 2011 hatchlings now looking for new homes
After a slow start to the 2011 breeding season we are now pleased to announce that some of our babies are sufficently grown on to be made available to buyers. So far we have made just 4 leos available but we expect this number to rise in the coming weeks. All the leos we currently have available are pictured on our website at

122. Hello I'm domino head.
This picture was probably taken within 2 hours or thereabouts after the baby shown crashed out of the egg. Fairly certain on this as it was not in the incubation box at todays (14/05/2011) lunch time check. Howver she/he was there at 16:00 hrs when we had a peek. As you might see this baby has 3 white dots on its head, hence the post title. We would be very surprised if the dots remain into adulthood as the baby looks like it will be a normal with hatch colouration quickly fading with growth. This baby is the sibling of the baby in post 121 so parentage details are the same. Incubation period was 55 days and hatch weight came in at 3 gram.
121. One more fresh from the incubator
Down below is a baby that hatched 12/05/2011 after a 53 day incubation. Weight at hatch was 3 gram. Parents are Patricia (patternless) and the Sire wis Isuzu a bit of a mongrel normal with broad pattern tendency. looks like this baby will grow out as a normal as the banding is quite dark.

120. Update on wobbly tiny tot post 119
We have had a closer look at tiny tot today. Looks like he/she has a bit of a club foot on one leg with a couple of toes fused together which is a bit sad. However, we are pretty confident she will be okay and develop fairly well, as most disabled leos do well in captivity when not faced by the constant threat of predation and scarce enviromental resources.

119. Tiny tot
This baby was found to have hatched out on the morning of 11/05/2011 after a 57 day incubation and with a weight of 2 grams. He or she is a bit wobbly on the legs and seems to be limping on one of them. So not the most lively hatchling we have produced. First thoughts on this babys morph is that it was a fairly standard Tremper but on later inspection the boby colour is quite light and perhaps a Mack Tremper?. Parents are Alaska, sold to us as a Diablo Blanco? and Red Ron our red eyed Tremper eclipse.

118. May babes.
This are our latest hatchlings. Both are from the same clutch produce by Lulu (hypo carrot tail) and Isuzu (some sort of mongrel/aberrant hi-yellowish with broad stripe tendency). Hatch date was 6th(lower) & 7th (upper0 May 2011 after 57 & 58 days of incubation. Weight for both was a decent 4 gram.Looks like they will be hypos as the dark banding is brown rather than the black for normals.

117. Afghan asylum seekers produce eggs
After a long wait we found that Sangin our Afghanicus female had produced us a couple of eggs this morning. Both look in good condition and were a fair size for these minature Leopard Geckos. They are nicely tucked up in the incubator and our fingers are crossed for successful hatches in about 50 days time.

116. And now 6 Easter Sunday eggs!
Egg laying has certainly stepped up in the last few days. First thing this morning we found 4 good eggs, 2 from our patternless Patricia and 2 from Nell our hi-yellow. This was followed by the discovery of 2 more at 1100 hrs from Elver a classic normal. So a great holiday weekend so far for Easter eggs with the possibility of se ore before the day is out.

115. Six Good Friday eggs
Definitely getting into top gear as far as this breeding season is concerned with 6 great looking eggs collected first thing this Good Friday morning. Also the possibility of a few more before the day is out as we have a few more females ready to drop. As for those collected this morning 4 were from first time layers including 2 from a female Macularius Macularius (Meriva) crossed with a male Macularius Afghanius (Kabul). Fingers crossed that we get a successful hatch on this pair as it will be fascinating to see what they turn out like. The other first timer was Regina (Tremper hybino) who we mated with Red Ron (Tremper red eye eclipse). We could call him ever ready Red Ron as he always delivers in the mating game. Finally we had acouple of eggs from 6 week Izzy. The 6 weeks prefix is on account of her being a slow layer at about 6 weeks between cluthes.

114. Attendance at shows 2011
We are pleased to announce that so far we have booked tables at:
ERAC Rayleigh show 22nd May 2011
IHS Doncaster show 26th June 2011
EHS Norwich show 10th July 2011
For the ERAC show you will be able to find us on the EHS club table where we will have a small number of 2011 Leopard geckos hatchlings and 2010 adults for sale. Also a few well grown on Cornsnakes and some Dubia cochroahes ideal for starter colonies will also be available.

113. Bad eggs
Seems like we have loads of manky eggs so far this year. Whilst we are pretty similar on the number hatches compared to this time last year we have lost a very large number due to bad eggs. Possibly it is because we have a lot of novice and inexperienced breeders this year who are dropping their eggs in bad locations. Also we have lost a few by collecting them too late after they have gone cold. In consequence, looks like we are currently only getting a 33% success rate. But on a more positive note it looks like we should see some improvement in the next few weeks as our more recently laid eggs are in far better shape. So onwards and upwards to eggfinity and beyond. A couple more hatches are expected within the next week after which the pace of hatches should swing into top gear.

112. This is QI
Quite interesting indeed is the pattern of this baby that hatched out 11/04/2011 after a 50 day incubation with a weight of 3 gram. Looks like it will be a hypo when it grows and the dark element fades. Sire is Isuzu who has a partial bold stripe appearance and the look of Tremper bandit though it certainly didn't come from his parents. The Dam is Poppy who is a hypo though she may have some red stripe in her on account of a micro fine red stripe appearance.

111. Tremper no 3 for 2011
This is our third Tremper of the 2011 breeding season which hatched out Saturday 09/04/2011. Weight was the rather standard 3 gram and length of incubation was 50 days. Overall fairly standard banding and nothing special about the eyes. Dam and Sire are both first time parents so now proved. Dam is Lisa a blizzard bred in 2009 and trhe sire is Juno a red eyed Tremper eclipse who hatched in 2010.

110. Delayed birth announcements.
We treated ourselves to a trip over to Holland last weekend in order to go to the Houten reptile show. So for the most of the last week we have been catching up and didn't have the time to announce our latest additions to the family. Anyway here they are up top. The baby uppermost escaped from the egg late evening 01/04/2011 after an incubation of 48 days and weighing 3 gram. Same weight for the lower baby who emerged a little later on 02/04/2011. Both share the same parents marge (hypo)and Isuzu (broad stipe abberant). Looks like they will turn out hypos as the dark banding is brownish and already fading at 1 week.

109. Friday's early delivery
Here we have a couple of pictures of the sibling in post 107. This baby has all the same background details apart from a longer incubation period at 49 days when it hatched out on 01/045/2011. One picture shows the hatchling breaking through the egg shell and taking a breather as it gets used to its new environment. The other picture was taken a couple of hours later. looks identical to its sibling dun it!

106 First hatchling in 2011
A quick peak in the incubator this morning revealed a tiny little red eyed Tremper eclipse starting to emerge from its egg. by the time i had got my camera sorted it was almost fully out of the egg as you will see in the picture upwards.
I also took another piccy later when it had fully hatched. We were a little surpised to find we had a hatchling from this egg as it was a bit dented throughout the incubation, though i might add it never went manky. Vital statistics are incubation period 43 days, hatch weight 3 gram, sire Nero (diablo blanco) and dam Diva (red eyed Tremper eclipse.
So, het for diablo blanco.

105. And we now have over 30 eggs.
We are now picking up the pace with this years breeding season. Seems that recent warmer days have convinced a few of our breeders to lay their eggs and we are as of this morning now incubating just over 30 eggs. ETA for our first hatchling is towards the end of this month. Fingers crossed.
Also worth a mention about our plans for running tables at reptile breeders meetings this year. So far we have booked tables at the IHS Doncater show 26th June, the EHS Norwich show 10th July and the FBH Kempton show 14th August. We will also be visiting the Houten animal fun day in Holland 3rd April. In addition we will also be helping out on a EHS club table at the ERAC meeting in Thurrock on 22nd May where we will have a small selection of animals availble.

104. We have eggs!
Yippe we have just this evening collected a couple of eggs and placed them in the incubator. We actually found two more a couple of days ago laid by Serena a reverse stripe Tremper, who we got from Hamm in March 2010;however they had not been collected in sufficient time and had collapsed. The ones we collected tonight were pretty fresh, in good condition, and laid by Nell a hi-yellow who we have bred with Ahmed our latest wild caught bloodline male. We are going with the incubator set at 28 degrees Celsius this year. So fingers are crossed for a hatch date approx 50 days from today (30th march)?

103. Its like a game of frustation at the moment as we wait for our first eggs
Well in comparison to 2010 we are now quite a few days behind in respect of getting our first eggs of 2011. Last year we had 2 eggs in the incubator by 22nd January. Alas we are still waiting for our first drop and its nearly February. We certainly have plenty of gravid females but they just don't want to lay at the moment. we think its a case of the ambient temperature still being too low and that severe cold weather we had during most of December.

102. A handful of new girls for breeding in 2011.
In the frames overhead is a selection of some of our new female breeders for 2011. All of them are 2010 hatchlings and now weighing in at 50 plus grams and getting porky on the back hips. So we are pretty confident we will be able to breed them in 2011. Starting at the top is Duchess who is a RAPTOR we produced from our own stock. Second in the pile is Currant bun, a Tremper sunglow bred by Ray Hine. We are still looking for a male sunglow suitor for her. Third and fourth are a standard Bell albino (Belletoni), with a regen tail, and a blizzard (Alsaka) with a tint of red in her eye, therefore a Diablo blanco. We got these two from Sazzle at the November 2010Kidderminster show.

101. Introducing new male breeding squad members for the 2011 season
From top to bottom we have Rob Roy, Isuzu, Einstein and Ahmed who have all been recruited in the last couple of months to improve and increase the range of morphs we hope to produce during 2011.
Rob Roy is a supersnow who was snapped up from a private seller in Kent with the sole purpose improving the percentage of Mack snows we get from our two female Mack snows. Fingers crossed we will also get some supersnows. He is also the spitting image of Hazel who was sold to us as a baby Diablo Blanco; she ultimately speckled up. So another breeding candidate for Rob Roy.
Isuzu was produced by us from the accidental breeding between Fanta our Phantom and a run of the mill hi-yellow. Overall he is a bit of a mongrel mish mash with what we think is Bell and snow genes. Maybe, well from what we can see, even broad stripe tendencies in him.
Einstein third from the top is a Bell albino with a sprinkling of broad stripe in him. He comes to us from Herpetoculture via Hamm in September 2010. He was specifically bought for breeding with our Bell albinos so we can produce that morph during 2011, and at the same time reduce the number of normals we produce.
Last in the gallery is Ahmed who has a perserved wild caught bloodline. He came to us from Eurorep via a local pet shop contact. We are looking to breed him with some of the wild caught bloodlines we produced during 2010.

100. Afghan asylum seekers celebrate their first Christmas in Lowestoft.
The two piccys above are off our Afghanicus Leopard Geckos(Eublepharis Macularius Afghanicus) that we imported from PACHERP USA via the Hamm show last September (2010). Whilst not obvious from the pictures the Afghanicus sub species are the mini-minors of the Leopard Gecko species. Average adult length is 6 inch (150mm)compared to 8- 10 inch (200 - 250mm) for the more commom Macularis Macularius varieties. The pictures were taken 25/12/2010 when Kabul the male (upper) was 39 grams while Sangin (the female (lower) was 38 gram. So all in all at these weights they are now well into adulthood and probably only a few grams from maximum size which makes them definite goers for breeding in 2011. We also have a few more normal girl friends for the male including a wild caught bloodline Macularius Macularius to see what we might get. Fingers crossed for some interesting offspring.

99. Passing of winter solistice marks beginning of 2011 breeding season.
After a period of cooling the housing temperatures of our main breeders, and following the winter solistice, today we will be raising housing temperatures and start preparing for the 2011 breeding season. Reptiles are great at sensing enviromental change and quickly pickup on the fact that the length of daylight is increasing. So as soon as housing temperatures are raised we are expecting breeding interest, and activity to begin almost straight away. Our earliest eggs were laid 22nd January this year. So fingers crossed for a similar response in 2011.
98. And now the absolute final pair of 2010 hatchlings
These two African fat tails hatched 18/10/2010 (lower) & 19/10/2010 (upper)and represent the very last animals that we hatched during 2010. Incubation period was 67 and 68 days after which both weighed in at 2 gram. These pictures were taken 22/12/2010 when the lower fatty was 8 gram and the upper was at 7 gram. Parents are Nelson (albino) and Winnie (skunk stripe).

97. And now the last two Leopard Gecko hatchlings from 2010
Here are our last leo hatchlings from the 2010 breeding season which were born 12/10/2010 (lower picture) and 14/10/2010 (upper picture). Both pictures were taken 18/12/2010 and confirm they are hypos following the complete fading of their black hatch banding. current weights are 28 gram (upper leo) and a runty 12 gram for the lower leo. Both hatched out at 2 gram on incubation day 50 and 52. the parents are Lulu (hypo) and Ringo (hi-yellow).
So thats it for our 2010 leos. Just got 2 African fat tails to upload and then everything we hatched in 2010 will be listed.

96. Two more Trempers from October.
Here are two more Tremper babies that hatched out 07/10/2010 (lower picture) & 08/10/2010 (upper picture). The pictures above were actually taken 13/12/2010 with both weighing 15 gram. Hatch weight was 3 gram for both after a 55 & 56 day incubation. the parents for both are nero our Diablo Blanco and Trixy a chocolate Tremper.
Now just 4 more pictures and biographies to upload to complete the full set of all our babies form 2010. Nearly there.
Saturday, 11 December 2010
95. The last blizzards from 2010
From the top to the bottom picture is shown our last blizzards hatching during the 2010 breeding season. Both these pictures were taken today with the top leo at 23 gram and the lower at 18 gram. Both are het for Diablo blanco from the sire (nero). The dam was Anya a dark midnight blizzard. The top leo hatched out 04/10/2010 after a 53 day incubation. The lower leo came 24 hours later on the 05/10/2010. Both weighed in at 3 gram.

94. Our sole jungle Tremper from 2010
Sunday, 31 October 2010
93. More unanounced babies
Lower picture is a tiny little Tremper that hatched out 02/10/2010 with a weight that said 1 gram on our scales. Incidentally 29 days later it is up to 6 gram and now 20g on the day the picture above was taken (07/12/2010). Parents are Pharoah a chunky almost patternless Tremper. The Dam is Jungle Jane who is a red eyed Tremper eclipse with jungle banding. incubation period was 62 days.
Upper picture was taken on 07/12/2010 at a weight of 20 gram and shows another hatch from 02/10/2010. A banana blizzard out of Jungle Jane and Pharoah both Trempers. One being jungle pattern and the latter bordering on Patternless to a treverse stripe. Hatch weight was 2 gram after an incubation of 63 days.

92. 2010 Breeding season closes
Our last egg hatched out yesterday to give us our sixth African fat tail of the year. At the same time it was our last egg of the 2010 season during which we have hatched just over 120 babies. We still have a few to announce on this site born this month, which we will do next week after the Portsmouth reptile and amphibian show at Havant leisure centre this coming Sunday (24/10/2010). We will be running a table at the Portsmouth show on which we will be offering for sale 30 plus babies that have been announced previously on this site with complete biographic background. If you are going to the show please come and say hello.

91. Which was the first October baby?
Not really sure which of these two was the first baby leo to hatch in October as we found both of them to have hatched out on the morning of 01/10/2010. These pictures were taken on 04/10/2010. The top baby is the sibling of the baby in post 90. Her hatch weight was 3 gram. At 3 days old we can already see here banding is fading and she will develop into a hypo. The lower baby baby is a Tremper albino. We are 100% sure that the father was Nero our star Diablo blanco. However, the mum could be milly or Trixy both standard banded Trempers. Incubation was 65 or 67 days and hatch weight was 3 gram.
90. Leo mentioned in post 89.

89. Last hatch in September 2010
Oops lost the picture. I will upload it later. Anyways here is the biography. Our last hatch for September 2010 was on the 29th. Just a standard looking normal from Lulu and Ringo. That said this pair have given us some nice hypos. so with growth maybe the dark banding will wash out. However, most interesting of all is that according to our records the incubation period was a mere 37 days. Maybe it is another one of our classical accounting errors? but the weight was pretty normal at 3gram.

88. Only four days behind with hatch announcements
87. Septembers miracle!
Well we reckon this baby which hatched out 25/09/2010 must be a miracle; our records show its sibling hatched out 30/08/2010. What happened here is that as the egg had not hatched out in the time period expected we moved it to another box in which we put our suspected dodgy eggs. But low and behold just when we had given up all hope we would get anything out of the egg out she burst. Hatch weight was 3 gram and the incubation period must be up into the 8o days range. Still not too sure who the parents are which will take some working out.

86. More Trempers
The two babies here hatched 19/09/2010 (lower picture) and 20/09/2010. The pictures were taken 01/10/2010 and it is amazing how there pinkish hues at hatch have faded. There recent darkening makes us think they will be chocolate Tremper albinos as they grow larger. Both share the same parents Trixy (standard banded Tremper albino) and Nero (Diablo blanco). They both weighed in at 2 gram with incubation periods being 55and 56 days.
