57. Sibling arrivals

These babies are the siblings of the babies shown in post 56 and 55. The normal hatched 26/07/2010 with a weight of 3 gram. The Tremper albino eclipse broke out of her egg the day after and was 3 gram. Both pictures were taken on 29/07/2010 with the Tremper looking ghostly on account of going into her first shed. So feeding time for her tomorrow.

56. And another Tremper albino

This baby was born Sunday 25th July 2010. The parents are Jungle Jane (Tremper albino jungle pattern ruby red eyed eclipse bred by Herpetoculture, USA) and Pharoah (reverse stripe Tremper albino bred by homegrown geckoc, Tonbridge UK) Incubation day was 59 and hatch weight was 3 gram.

55. A normal service has resumed

Up above is another baby from our very reliable Befi (Bell albino) and Pharoah (reverse stripe Tremper) that has just hatched out tonight 24/07/2010. The sibling egg is the size you would expect from a Tortoise so god knows when that will pop and what size of baby will spring out. The weight of this baby is the modal 3 gram and incubation period was 55 days. Can't recall how many eggs and offspring the parents have produced this season but it must be 10 at least. Not only that Befi is definitely carrying 2 more eggs.

54. The Mack has arrived.

Up above is a piccy of our first Mack snow hatchling of the 2010 season. Parents are Maggie (Mack snow) and Mo (normal but interesting). The two previous eggs from this combination produced normals which is in line with the expected 50:50 Mack snow to normal hatchlings when a normal and Mack snow are mated. The baby above weighed in at a chunky 4 gram (note the fat tail)with hatch date being 19/07/2010. With Incubation day was 53 or 54 which is quite short compared to some of our recent hatchlings. In the picture it looks like she has a heart shape on the back of the neck. Most probably that will fade when she starts to pile on the weight.

53. Sunday and Monday

These two Tremper albino babies arrived Sunday and Monday 18th & 19th July 2010. Both are the offspring of Scarlett (RAPTOR) and Nero (Diablo Blanco). So they come with very good hets. One has broken/jungle patterning and the other has the standard Tremper albino banding. Both weighed in at 3 gram. Incubation periods were 62 and 63 days.

52. Late arrival

This is the sibling of the baby in post 50. She arrived the next day 15/07/2010. incubation day was 61, weight 3 gram. Almost identical to her sister aprt from a faint possible paradox mark at the back of her head. We will keep an eye on that in the coming weeks.

51. A fairly normal hatch!

Here we have the prodigy of Marge (Hypo) and Mo (interesting normal)which hatched out 14/07/2010 after an incubation period of 63 days. Her hatch weight was 3 gram.

50. It's Blizzard time

A few weeks ago we didn't have any Blizzards to show off. How quickly things have changed to the point that we now have at least 1/2 a dozen youngsters. Above is our latest baby Blizzard which was found to have hatched out mid morning 14/07/2010. We are hoping her sibling will pop out in the next 24 hours. The parents are Slate our own bred Blizzard and Nero our resident Diablo Blanco who you will appreciate, if you have read our earlier posts, has been a very busy boy this breeding season. So het for Diablo blanco. Incubation day was 60 and she weighed in at the mode 3 gram.

49. Hello world!

This chunky little girl said hello to the world early evening 13/07/2010 and after a 64 day incubation period. That is 4 days longer than our previous longest incubation period. So all in all a nice surprise as we had virtually given up waiting and thought the egg might be a dud. Mum is Milly our own bred standard banded tremper albino. The sire is Nero a Diablo Blanco imported from USA breeder Steve Sykes. So het for Diablo blanco. In fact not looked at her eyes yet so you never know maybe she is a Diablo blanco? Have not weighed her at the moment but she is definitely a good sze from a big egg which might explain the long incubation?

48. 50 up!

By our crude calulations we reckon that one of the babies shown above, both hatched out on the evening of 10/07/2010, is our 50th successful hatch of the 2010 breeding season. Both are the offspring of Patricia (patternless) and Red Ron (red eyed Tremper albino jungle pattern eclipse). So het for Tremper. Incubation day was 60 and both weighed in at an average 3 gram.

47. Phantom birth?

This baby hatched out 06/07/2010 on incubation day 59 with a weight of 3 gram. At first view she looks very much like a Tremper albino. However, her dark band is slightly different to the usual Tremper and may be explained by the Dam (Fanta bred by Penfold) being a Phantom. The Sire was Dotty a normal hi-yellow het for Tremper albino. Must say we have got some remarkable offspring from this paring.

46. July babies

These two babies are our first hatches during July 2010. Apart from their patternation both pretty much share the same statistics. Parents are Red Ron (bred by the ARK) a jungle pattern red eyed eclipse Tremper albino and Diva a red eyed eclipse standard banded Tremper albino. Both hatched on incubation day 60 (05/07/2010) and weighed in at 2 gram. Both have got eclipse eyes.

45. Final June hatch

Up above is the last baby we had hatching out in June 2010. That was on 27/06/2010. Parents are befi our Bell albino and Pharoah a Reverse stripe Tremper albino. Her incubation day was 53 and hatch weight was 3 gram.
