225. Meet the parents (25) for the 2012 breeding season

Blimey not that cheeky chappie Max Planck at it again is it? Sure is. In this piccy he is alongside our classy Jungle Jane who is a Jungle Tremper eclipse with a fantabulous pair of A* red eyes. We have had her a few years now and she usually passes on her jungle looks to at least a couple of her offspring every year.

224. Meet the parents (24) for the 2012 breeding season

Down below is Max Planck with one of his latest girlfriends. Tell you what he ain't half been busy just recently with the mating game. The dark female, what you might called a midnight blizzard, is our paradox spotted Anya.

223. meet the parents (23) for the 2012 breeding season

Sitting pretty on this piccy with Helios is Lulu. She is not a sunglow but a hypo. Put these 2 together to see if we produce some brighter hypos. Lulu has been with for a few years now and was given to us for free. That ain't bad considering she is a great little breeder.

222. Meet the parents (22) for the 2012 breeding season

In this post are a Tremper sunglow pairing we have put together for this season. The smaller one is the male who we christened Helios. He is a relatively recent signing to our squad, coming from Jason Barnard at the November 2011 Doncaster show. For rhyming slang the female is called Currant bun and was one of Ray Hines offspring.

221. Meet he parents (21) for the 2012 breeding season

We have just this minute, well almost, put these two together. To the right is Kabul our male Afghanicus that we imported from PACHERP during 2010. On his left is our own bred Whoopi who is a nice raw looking wild type with some micro spotting and an interesting mix of colouration. God knows what they will produce us if they get it on.

220. Meet the parents (20) for the 2012 breeding season

Yet again it's Rob Roy below. This time round with Mackdonna his fourth girlfriend for the 2012 season. She is one of our own bred Mack snows we held back from late 2010 on account of her jungle patternation at hatch. We didn't breed her last year as being a late 2010 she was a wee bit to young.

219. meet the parents (19) for the 2012 breeding season

It's Rob Roy again but now shown with Marriet the Mack snow. We tried breeding her last year and held on and held on to her first clutch of eggs until they were very large and proved to be infertile. We are hoping that that experience and the recuperaration since may lead to better things this time round.

218. Meet the parents (18) for the 2012 breeding season

Here we have Rob Roy again but this time with Hazel, who has a short, but intact tail. We got her as a baby from the ARK who sold her to us as a Diablo Blanco back in 2009. As From what you see she didn't mature out that way as some colour developed in her over time. We now class her as a Mack RAPTOR. So if these two bred successfully we should get some nice babies.

217. Meet the parents (17) for the 2012 breeding season

In this piccy we are showing off Rob Roy and Maggie who are a pair from our Mack group. Maggie is the plain Mack Snow and came to us from Homegrown geckos back in 2009. Rob Roy was snapped up from a Maidstone breeder just before christmas 2010 and is a MACK RAPTOR. These two were together last year and produces us a fair number of supersnows and a couple of plain but nice Mack snows.

This is Einstein and Befi partaking in a bit of deep penetration this afternoon and immediately after they were put together. Einsteins background biography has been stated on earlier posts. Befi has been with us a few years and this is her third breeding season with us. These two did actually breed together last year and we got some superb coloured Bells from them with one exhibting a stunning broad stripe.

215. Meet the parents (15) for the 2012 breeding season.

214. Meet the parents (14) for the 2012 breeding season.

This is Mohammad again with the second of his current three girlfriends. Should be no trouble spotting her as she is a hi-yellow in contrast to Mohammads debonair classical wild type coat of many colours. She goes by the name of Nell.

213 meet the parents (13) for the 2012 breeding season

These two fantablous specimens are both pure Macularius Macularius wild caught bloodlines. The big un is the male who goes by the name of Mohammad. He came to us via a breeder in Whaplode Drove Cambridgeshire, or is it Lincolnshire? That was in 2009. As you can see the female is a lot smaller. She is Benazir and was supplied to use by Steve Sykes.

211. Meet the parents (12) for the 2011 breeding season

It's Max Planck, our Diablo Blanco, again. With him this time is our own bred Duchess who we had considered renaming Sarah Ferguson or Fergie on account of her being a bit of a porker. She is a RAPTOR so looking for this combination to produce us some red eyed stunners.

210 Meet the parents (11) for the 2012 breeding season

On this post we have Max Planck a Diablo Blanco that we obtained from the IHS Doncaster show September 2011. Not his best picture as he his in mid shed which might also account the mark on his nose. well its either from rubbing or from all that rutting he has been up to recently. With him is our own bred Diva who is a red eyed Tremper eclipse and also a very reliable breeder.

209. Meet the parents (10) for the 2012 breeding season

On this piccy we have got Demerara who is another of Isuzu's breeding partners for 2012. Again we are hoping for some interesting offspring.

208. Meet the parents (9) for the 2012 breeding season

These two bewts are Silveea (the one with the Morse code pattern) and Isuzu who has got some stunning patterns on his body, head and especially on the nose. Silveea was imported from Steves Sykes via Hamm and Houten in December just gone. Isuzu is a product of our breeding academy and the son of Fanta mentioned in early posts.Hoping for some synergy from their body patterns and bold striping in any offspring they produce.

207. Meet the parents (8) for the 2012 breeding season.

Meriva whose is girlfriend number 2 for Kabul is shown up above. She is the one with the very nice symmetrical head marking who is the reult of our own breeding program. once again hoping for some delicious Macularius Afghanicus leopard gecko crosses.

206.Meet the parents (7) for the 2012 breeding season

Latest pair on show below are Kabul a pure wild caught Afghanicius we imported from PACHERP back in 2010. The big girl alongside is Arosa who is one of our own bred Leos. Hoping for some nice Macularius Afghanicus crosses from this couple to help Kabul pay off some of his expensive transfer fee.

205. Meet the parents (6) for the 2012 breeding season

Following on from the previous post(204)we have here with Einstein another of his girlfriends who goes by the name of Topaz. She has a Bell base with stunning red eyes and possibly a hint of enigma in her genes. They were paired up at the finale of the 2011 breeding season and produced almost clones of the mother. Heres hoping for somemore this season.

204. Meet the parents (5) for the 2012 breeding season.

The photo below shows a couple of our Bell albinos paired for 2012. The male is Einstein who has a partial broad stripe that we imported from Steve Sykes in September 2010. The female with a regrown tail is Belletoni who we bought off Sazzle at the November 2010 Kidderminster show.

203. They're in the Box

As mentioned in post 203 our first eggs arrived yesterday are looking good and now neatly placed in our SIMs incubation box.

Tuesday 17 January 2012

202. The eggs have landed!

Yippee in the last 30 minutes we have just harvested our first eggs of the year. They have been dropped by Fanta our Mack Tremper who has been tossing and turning in the egg box for the last couple of days. Fingers are crossed that they are fertile. Can vouch that one of them had a nice rosy red glow on one side indicating a healthy embryo. So if they are good eggs we are looking at an hatch ETA 42 to 60 days from now. We incubate at 28 celsius for female so most likely a 50 day plus incubation circa 8th March.

201 Meet the parents (4) for the 2012 breeding season.

This is Dallas mentioned on post 201 with another one of his recent girl friends who goes by the name of Patricia a plain Jane patternless. Plain she may be but she is a very reliable, dependable and prolific breeder. She lays in silly places and as you might be able to see is a nice pear shape at the rear end which always bodes well for female breeders.

200. Meet the parents(3) for the 2012 breeding season.

This pair is made up of Dallas the Broad stripe just entering shed and Poppy a hypo who carries some faint red stripe markings. We are hoping for some of the broad stripe and red tendency to show through on any offspring we may get.

Sunday 15 January 2012

199. Egg alert!

Looks like it is getting close to egg drop time for Fanta our Mack Tremper or maybe Phamtom. We have had the flirting and close liaison with Slurm the Mack Bell 22 December to 3rd Jan, then the isolation in her own maternity box, then a loss of appetite, then a shed and now she is in the egg lay box clawing and rearranging the perlite and moss. That usuallyy means eggs are on their way. Fingers crossed we don't have a cold snap to make her hold on.

198. Lust at first sight for Max Planck and Madame Curie

Certainly was and we didn't even have time to set the stopwatch as Max made an immediate B-line for Madame Curie and planted a big fat love bite on her as soon as he saw her. Guess she must be pumping out the lynx effect Pheromones by the bucket load.

197 Meet the parents (2) for the 2011 breeding season

We have just put this foursome together today. The whiteys are both Diablo Blancos. Comprising Max Planck and Madame Curie. Max is the smaller one. The darker Tremper is Ariane who we got from JMG at the March 2010 Hamm show. The box standard Tremper is Petula who is one of our own bred Leos.

Sunday 8 January 2012

196 Meet the parents for the 2011 breeding season

These two charmers are one of our breeding pairs for the 2011 season. Slurm a Mack Bell, the one with the yellow hue, is the male who we picked up from Phil AKA Slurms geckos at last Septembers Essex show. The Female is Fanta who we bought from Penfold at the 2009 ERAC show in Shenfield. She was labelled up as a Phantom, then we decided she was a Mack Tremper now we aren't sure. This is her third breeding season. W

e have paired her up with a Bell background male to try repeat some of the stunners she produced in 2010 when she was bred with a het Bell.
