77. Here is a few babies to register!

As I am writing this we also have another baby in the process of greeting the world with its head poking out of an egg. Who knows maybe she will be the last hatch during August 2010.
Anyhow lets introduce the 3 babies in this post starting from the bottom. That baby hatched out 30/08/2010. Unfortunately we are not certain about some of its other biographic detail. In particular, we think it is the offspring of Trixy (standard banded Tremper albino)and Nero our Diablo Blanco, but we are not 100% sure due to us not carefully tracking our eggs. If this is correct she had an incubation period of 50 days. One thing we are definitely sure about is her hatch weight which was 3 gram.

Next the baby in the middle hatched 30/08/2010 and weighed in at 3 gram. Parents are Patricia (patternless) and Red Ron (Tremper albino eclipse with ruby eyes). incubation period was 59 days.

Finally the top image shows a baby that hatched 31/08/2010 after a 60 day incubation and coming out at the rather standard 3 gram weight. The parents of this baby are Jungle Jane (Tremper albino jungle pattern) and Pharaoh(Tremper albino reverse stripe/patternless).

76. A rare Mack Snow!

Certainly rare for us this season. This baby hatched 28/08/2010 after an incubation period of somewhere in the range of 55 days. Hatch weight was 3 gram. The parents are Maggie who is a Mack Snow who came to us from Ray Hine. The sire is Mo who we call our interesting normal. Mo has been with for 2 years this bank holiday weekend. He came to us from a private sale with somebody in Cromer. Funny thing is he was sold to us as a female!

75.Enter tiny!

This baby is the sibling of the baby shown in post 72. she hatched out two days later on 27/08/2010. According to our digital scales her weight was a solitary 1 gram? Not too sure we believe that as she looks at least 2 gram. Also we had to renew the batteries in the scales the next day during our collection weekly weigh in.

74. Surprise, surprise there is two of us!

Here we have a couple of babies that we expect to blossom into hypos. We say this because both the parents (Izzy & Wizzy) are hypos. Also the banding is broken in places and is a brownish shade. They were found to have popped out of their eggs on the morning of 27/08/2010 after a 63 day incubation period. Both weighed in at the rather customary 3 gram.

73. IHS Doncaster show 26th September 2010

Once again we will be running a table at this show on 26th September 2010. We are expecting to be able to have 30 - 40 Leopard geckos available for sale. They are our own stock and a large majority of these animals will be those you see on this site. We may also be offering some of our own reliable, healthy and proven breeders that are still in their prime. So if you see anything on here that is of interest to you there is a good chance it may be on our table on 26th September. If you are going please call by and say hello.

72. Egg production slowing but still plenty more hatches to come

As we approach the beginning of September it has been very noticeable that the 2010 breeding season is tapering to a close. We have had 12 eggs during August with the last clutch on 25/08/2010. From belly inspections and previous experience we are no more than half-a-dozen before we can officially declare this years breeding season is closed. That said we still have quite a lot of good eggs developing in our incubator and can expect new arrivals up to and maybe into November.
Up above we have picture of our latest baby which hatched 25/08/2010. Incubation was 55 days and the parents were Patsy (patternless) and Nero (Diablo blanco). Hatch weight was 3 gram. This baby has a brown shade of banding which we are expecting to fade with growth.

71. Two more births to register!

The two babies up above are out of Befi (Bell albino) and Pharoah (Tremper patternless/reverse stripe). These parents have produced no end of babies this season with 4 further eggs still in the incubator. Also Befi still looks eggy in her belly so may yet drop another clutch before the breeding season is out. both the babies above were 3 gram at hatch. The lower baby hatched 21/08/2010 after an incubation period of 59 days. The upper baby came 24 hours later. if you look closely you might see the upper baby has broken black bands which usually give rise to interesting patterns when leos begin to grow.

70. The umpteenth Tremper!

This pretty partial reverse stripe Tremper albino hatched out 21/08/2010 after a 59 day incubation. Hatch weight was 3 gram. she has a great pedigree and hets with the sire being Nero Diablo Blanco)and the Dam is Scarlett (RAPTOR).

69. Awful weather continues with another Blizzard in August!

This Blizzard hatched out 20/08/2010 with the rather typical weight of 3 gram. Incubation period was 57 days. parents are Anya (Midnight blizzard with paradox spot) and Nero our Diablo Blanco. So all in all she is het for Diablo Blanco.

68. A hat trick of hypos?

We think these 3 babies might end up being hypos because the photos above were taken at a few days old and the black bands were already beginning to fade. All 3 hatched 14/08/2010 and weighed 3 grams. The top baby hatched on incubation day 59 and is the offspring of Maggie (Mack snow) and Mo (normal). The couple in the lower picture hatched on incubation day 61. They are from Lulu (carrot tailed deep tangerine/sunglowish hypo) and Ringo (hi-yellow). day

67. A Blizzard in August

Up above is another brand new Blizzard to add to our growing collection. She hatched 11/08/2010 with a weight of 3 gram. That was after incubating for 61 days. The parents are Nero our Diablo Blanco and Slate who is a fairly strightforward Blizzard. Must apologise for the poor quality of the image.

66. The normals keep on hatching

This baby hatched 09/08/2010 after a 60 day incubation. The picture was taken on 12/08/2010 as she goes into her first shed. Hatch weight was 3 gram and she is the offspring of Lulu who is a very orange hypo. In fact dep organgish colour tempts me to think she is a sunglow. The father is Ringo a hi-yellow who we obtain from a Lowestoft breeder in 2008 and who we sold at the Doncaster IHS show in June 2010.

65. Tremper hetted normals

These two hatched out ready to hit the ground running. Both are very active and chunky with weights of 4 gram. From their current mannerisms we expect them to gain weight quickly. One hatched out 07/08/2010 and the other on 08/08/2010. With things being pretty hectic as we reach the zenith of the breeding season we don't know which is which according to their hatch dates. So incubation for both was either 62 or 63 days. Parents are red Ron (Ruby, proper red eyed Tremper albino eclipse) and Patricia a very competent pear shaped well built (patternless).

64. And we have another pair of African fatty hatchlings

These two popped out of their shells to great us on 07/08/2010 after an incubation period of 72 days. Parents are Nelson (albino) and Winnie (skunk stripe). One of the babies looks to have a skunk stripe while the other very plain. Weighing in at 3 gram each they are bigger than the AFT babies that we posted up on here last week.

63. Stunning Phantom mongrels

Even if i do say so myself, what a couple of cracking leopard gecko babies these two are. They are from the same clutch of eggs produced by Fanta (Phantom - Dam) and Dotty (Lavender spotted hi-yellow from a Bell heritage - Sire) They both hatched out 06/08/2010 after incubating for 62 days. Weight was 4 grams for the more solid chocolate spotted baby. The more ghostly baby was 3 grams. The reason I have referred to them as mongrels is because I have had some similar to these from the same parents earlier in the season. In particular, I reckon the chocolate spotted/partial banded baby will lose that colouring as it grows and black spots will emerge to give it the look of an enigma which are as far as i am concerned are basically mongrels.

62. Tremper's are breaking out again!

Sorry for the quality of the images above but things have been pretty hectic with hatching geckos over the last few days. The two images in this post are our latest Tremper albino hatchlings. They look to be fairly standard with typical banding pattern, though they may have eclipse eyes which we will confirm when we give them a full checkover. The parents for both are Diva and Red Ron who have been a very successful couple this season. The top one hatched out 03/08/2010 on incubation day 57 at a weight of 3 grams. Second one down came 2 days later on 05/08/2010 concluding a 59 day incubation and with the rather standard 3 gram weight.

61. AFT clutch mate breaks out of egg!

Up aloft we have the sibling of the African fat tail that is shown in post 60. Both physically and statistically this one is also nearly identical to the AFT in post 60The main difference is the incubation period, which was 81 days on hatch date 03/08/2010.

Wednesday 4 August 2010

60. We have eventually got a African fat tail baby.

Straight after the baby in post 59 had hatched we notice the baby African fatso above was was poking its head of the egg from which it fully emerged a little later. on weighing she topped the scales at 2 gram. Parents are Nelson (albino) and Winnie a skunk stripe. Incubation day was 80 days. Not too sure on the incubation length on account of having two lots of eggs in the same container with the remaining 2 still looking okay.

59. First of August

Here we have a nice little Blizzard baby that hatched 02/08/2010 after incubating for 52 days. Her weight at hatch was a chunky 4 gram. parents are Nero (Diablo blanco) and Patsy a fairly standard patternless who came to us from Ray Hine.

Monday 2 August 2010

58. Six in a day!

The babies above, complete with the baby in post 57, meant that altogether we got 6 new hatchlings 27/07/2010. The 5 above all popped out of their eggs in the evening within a 2 hour period. The top baby is looking like a patternless Tremper albino or possibly with fade a blizzard. The parents are Nero our Diablo blanco and Scarlett our classy RAPTOR. Incubation day was 61 and hatch weight 3 gram.
Second and third from the top are a couple of normals out of Izzy and Wizzy a hi-yellow couple. Incubation period was 53 days and both weighed 3 gram.
Forth and fifth from the top are the offspring from Nero and Patsy a patternless. Incubation day was 69 for both and they also both weighed 3 gram. We reckon the last one will lose its spotting as it grows to eventually resemble the patternless mother. The picture for the fourth does not really do it just as it has a jungle appearance banding colours that slightly different from the shades of most normals.
