Lowestoft Leopard Geckos

243. Meet the parents (32) for the 2012 breeding season.

Just recently got Bingo, the normal with a hint broad striping, up to breeding weight and paired her up with Dinkum the lighter coloured one in the photo. He has red shading in him and we are hoping he can combine this with Bingos' bold patterns in any offspring produced. Both of these Leos are from our own breeding stock.

242. Introducing Thimble

This 1/2 gram tiny tot was found hatched out Sunday morn 12/03/2012 and is our second hatch this season. Also second miracle in a week as just like the hatch a few days earlier the egg it came out of was completely knackered. Parents are Currant bun and Helios both being Tremper sunglows, so same for this babe. Hatch period was 48 days.

241. Meet the parents (31) for the 2012 breeding season

Here we have two of our African fat tails that we have just paired up. The lighter shaded fatty is Nelson Mandala who we have had for nearly three and a half years. The female is Polokwane who we obtained as a 12 gram pup at the June 2010 Doncaster show. Her name came from on of the venues used at the 2010 world cup in South Africa. We always try and give our fattys an African name. Nelson is proven and we had 6 babies from his pairing with Winnie in 2010. Sadly, though some eggs were produced, we drew a blank with him and Winnie last year. For sure it is not quite as easy breeding fattys compared to Leos.

240. Meet the parents (30) for the 2012 breeding season

Here is a piccy of a couple more Leos we have paired up this afternoon. The supersnow (black and white)is Fantasia who is from our own produced offspring. She is seen here with Slurm a Mack Bell who we got from Phil of Slurms geckos (Hatfield)at the Essex show in Chelmsford last September (2011). We already have a supersnow offspring, earlier in the week, from one of Slurms earlier pairings. So possibly a few more if these two can foster a sincere and loving relationship based on trust. lol!

239. 0.1 gram miracle hatchling sets the ball rolling for 2012 season.

0.1 gram is what it says on our scales for this babe which is one reason to call it a miracle. Second reason is because the egg it came out of was one of the most mankeyish and wankeyish we have had, being dented, creased, and all shrivelled up. There was lots of fluid left behind in the egg explaining the small mal nurished babe that emerge with its cord trailing behind. Having hatched last night (5th March 2012) it has survived overnight and looks in good form this morning, so fingers are crossed. Calling her/him Microfiche on account of size. Parents are Slurm (Mack Bell) and Fanta (Mack Tremper we think) and incubation period was 48 days in a SIM's box.

238. Meet the parents (29) for the 2012 breeding season.

Max Plancks latest pairing is show here which also marks the conclusion of phase 1 of this years breeding program. Phase 2 will consist of pairing revisits where females are showing no sign of being gravid. Also the pairing of novice female breeders and chunky (i.e. 55+ gram) early season 2011 hatches. As for the female in this piccy she goes by the name of Serena a very attractive Tremper. We got her off a Danish breeder at the Hamm show back in March 2010. We did breed her last year and got quite a few eggs from her but they completely flat from her trampling on them. Hoping for much better things this year as we are sure she could produce some corker babies.

237. leopard Geckos available March 2012

We have just updated the available Leos on my website. Stock is getting pretty low with just 8 hatches from 2011 remaining available and probably just another couple to add. Normally I like to keep a stock of at least 20 all year round so buyers have a good selection so fingers are double crossed for some babies next week. Our available page link/address is below.
