93. More unanounced babies

Lower picture is a tiny little Tremper that hatched out 02/10/2010 with a weight that said 1 gram on our scales. Incidentally 29 days later it is up to 6 gram and now 20g on the day the picture above was taken (07/12/2010). Parents are Pharoah a chunky almost patternless Tremper. The Dam is Jungle Jane who is a red eyed Tremper eclipse with jungle banding. incubation period was 62 days.
Upper picture was taken on 07/12/2010 at a weight of 20 gram and shows another hatch from 02/10/2010. A banana blizzard out of Jungle Jane and Pharoah both Trempers. One being jungle pattern and the latter bordering on Patternless to a treverse stripe. Hatch weight was 2 gram after an incubation of 63 days.

92. 2010 Breeding season closes

Our last egg hatched out yesterday to give us our sixth African fat tail of the year. At the same time it was our last egg of the 2010 season during which we have hatched just over 120 babies. We still have a few to announce on this site born this month, which we will do next week after the Portsmouth reptile and amphibian show at Havant leisure centre this coming Sunday (24/10/2010). We will be running a table at the Portsmouth show on which we will be offering for sale 30 plus babies that have been announced previously on this site with complete biographic background. If you are going to the show please come and say hello.

91. Which was the first October baby?

Not really sure which of these two was the first baby leo to hatch in October as we found both of them to have hatched out on the morning of 01/10/2010. These pictures were taken on 04/10/2010. The top baby is the sibling of the baby in post 90. Her hatch weight was 3 gram. At 3 days old we can already see here banding is fading and she will develop into a hypo. The lower baby baby is a Tremper albino. We are 100% sure that the father was Nero our star Diablo blanco. However, the mum could be milly or Trixy both standard banded Trempers. Incubation was 65 or 67 days and hatch weight was 3 gram.

90. Leo mentioned in post 89.

here she is the baby announced in post 89. We expect her black patchs to fade significantly as she grows and maybe she will turn out to be a hypo.

89. Last hatch in September 2010

Oops lost the picture. I will upload it later. Anyways here is the biography. Our last hatch for September 2010 was on the 29th. Just a standard looking normal from Lulu and Ringo. That said this pair have given us some nice hypos. so with growth maybe the dark banding will wash out. However, most interesting of all is that according to our records the incubation period was a mere 37 days. Maybe it is another one of our classical accounting errors? but the weight was pretty normal at 3gram.

88. Only four days behind with hatch announcements

This little jungle Mack Snow hatched 28/09/2010 after an incubation of 58 days and she weighed in at 3 gram. Sadly there will be no sibling from this clutch as the other egg went manky. Parents are Maggie (Mack Snow0 and mo (normal).

87. Septembers miracle!

Well we reckon this baby which hatched out 25/09/2010 must be a miracle; our records show its sibling hatched out 30/08/2010. What happened here is that as the egg had not hatched out in the time period expected we moved it to another box in which we put our suspected dodgy eggs. But low and behold just when we had given up all hope we would get anything out of the egg out she burst. Hatch weight was 3 gram and the incubation period must be up into the 8o days range. Still not too sure who the parents are which will take some working out.

86. More Trempers

The two babies here hatched 19/09/2010 (lower picture) and 20/09/2010. The pictures were taken 01/10/2010 and it is amazing how there pinkish hues at hatch have faded. There recent darkening makes us think they will be chocolate Tremper albinos as they grow larger. Both share the same parents Trixy (standard banded Tremper albino) and Nero (Diablo blanco). They both weighed in at 2 gram with incubation periods being 55and 56 days.
