72. Egg production slowing but still plenty more hatches to come

As we approach the beginning of September it has been very noticeable that the 2010 breeding season is tapering to a close. We have had 12 eggs during August with the last clutch on 25/08/2010. From belly inspections and previous experience we are no more than half-a-dozen before we can officially declare this years breeding season is closed. That said we still have quite a lot of good eggs developing in our incubator and can expect new arrivals up to and maybe into November.
Up above we have picture of our latest baby which hatched 25/08/2010. Incubation was 55 days and the parents were Patsy (patternless) and Nero (Diablo blanco). Hatch weight was 3 gram. This baby has a brown shade of banding which we are expecting to fade with growth.
