170. Afghan Asylum seekers produce prodigy
After what has been a fairly poor breeding season this year we were over joyed to find that one of our Afghanicus eggs had hatched out this morning 06/08/2011 to produce the baby shown below. This comes after the previous eggs, at least 4, had turned manky during incubation. The baby below is quite tiny, as might be expected, and shows a remarkable 2 gram on the scales. Must say she/he does not look big enough for 2 gram, maybe the scales are not too precise. Incubation took 54 days and the parents are Kabul and Sangin.
